Save Sight Now
You’re helping fund life-changing research for children losing their sight to Usher syndrome type 1B.
How one diagnosis became a mission to cure childhood blindness.
In 2018, we learned our daughter Lia was born with Usher syndrome type 1B—a rare genetic disorder that left her profoundly deaf, without a sense of balance, and now rapidly losing her vision. Most children with USH1B go legally blind in adolescence.
What began as a diagnosis for one child has become a mission to save the sight of thousands. We launched Save Sight Now because no other organization was prioritizing Usher syndrome type 1B research. Today, we’re funding innovative research teams developing cell and animal models, supporting natural history studies, and advancing multiple potential therapies toward clinical trials.
It is a race against time, but your donation is funding life-changing research and giving families real hope.
Thank you so much for your support!
